Why Formula E

Electrification people can drive

If your brief mentions electrification, sustainability or the switch to EV, this is the activation format that matches it. Guests do not stand and listen. They get in, race an electric single-seater against the room and remember whose stand it was.

A story people can drive

Every EV brand has an electrification story. A Formula E simulator lets a guest drive it instead of reading it off a panel. They take the seat, race an electric single-seater and leave having done the thing your stand is talking about.

Street circuits suit non-gamers

Formula E racing happens on tight city circuits. Walls close, corners slow, positions changing constantly. That makes for close, dramatic racing even between guests who have never held a wheel before.

1kW a sim, one 13A socket

Each simulator draws no more than 1kW from a single standard 13A socket. On a sustainability or innovation brief that number is worth having. No generator, no special supply.

How the racing runs

Three formats, one grid

Head-to-head grid

Up to 16 sims networked on the same circuit at the same time. Lights out together, wheel to wheel through the street sections, one winner on the board at the end.

Hotlap time trial

One flying lap each, and the fastest time tops the live leaderboard. Drivers rotate quickly so the queue keeps moving. The format for exhibition stands and long open days.

Team relay

Teams take a stint each and the combined time decides it. Built for sponsor hospitality and internal events, where you want people watching and shouting as well as driving.

All 18 sims network together on one live leaderboard, 16 F1-style single-seaters and 2 GT. Most activations mix the formats: hotlaps through the day, then a head-to-head final to close.

The proof

The Jaguar TCS Racing activation

Jaguar TCS Racing is the Jaguar team in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. We delivered branded simulator activations for them, with the sims wrapped in the team colours and Formula E circuit content on the screens.

The photographs on this page are from that work. Wrapped simulators lined up as a grid, the team’s Formula E car backdrop behind them, guests queueing to take a turn, and drivers running time trials side by side while the leaderboard updated.

A dedicated children’s racing simulator ran alongside the adult rigs, so families could take part together rather than one person driving while the rest watched. We do the same on any activation where the guest list includes children.

Branding

Your car and your circuit

Branding is the core of the offer, not an extra. We wrap the simulators in your livery and we put your brand inside the game as well, so your car and your boards appear on screen for every lap your guests drive.

Full sim wrap

£450 per sim · GT £395

Every visible panel wrapped in your livery by professional car wrappers. From across the hall the sim reads as your car, not as hire kit.

In-game car livery

£200

We design the car your guests drive in your colours. Your livery is on screen for the whole lap, in every replay and in every photo of the action.

Circuit-side branding

£350 · with car £450

Your boards placed around the circuit. Your brand passes the camera every few seconds, so the screens sell for you while the queue watches.

Lighter options too: seat-back decals at £42 per sim and base branding at £195 per sim. Mix them across the grid, wrapping two hero sims and decalling the rest. All prices exclude VAT.

Quick answers

Formula E questions

What power does a Formula E activation need?

One standard 13A socket per simulator, and each sim draws no more than 1kW. Six sims run off ordinary venue power with no generator and no three-phase supply. Send us your stand plan and we will confirm the socket positions we need.

Are you an official Formula E supplier or partner?

No. Virtually Entertained is an independent simulator hire company. We have delivered branded simulator activations for Jaguar TCS Racing, the Jaguar team in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, but we are not a Formula E partner, supplier or licensee and we do not claim any endorsement.

Will guests who have never raced before enjoy it?

Yes, and that is the point of the street-circuit format. The corners are slow enough to learn in one lap, our crew sets the assists to suit each driver, and seats and pedals adjust for anyone from 125cm to 220cm, ages 5 to 99.
