Bedford’s an engineering town before it’s anything else: Millbrook’s test tracks off junction 13, Cranfield’s airfield twenty minutes south, Bedford Autodrome out at Thurleigh. It makes for a fun crowd. A room full of vehicle engineers notices within about four corners that our simulators are full-size single-seaters with force feedback wheels and proper pedals, not a chair pushed up to a monitor.
We’re 33 miles up the A421, close enough to hit an early venue access window without an overnight, and close enough that short-notice dates are always worth asking about.
The bookings follow the town’s mix: away days for the professional firms, supplier days out at Millbrook, the film crowd at the Cardington hangars, and weddings towards Woburn. Most Bedford venues come with their own car park and level entry too, which makes load-in a walk rather than a kerbside argument.
Test tracks and technical campuses
Millbrook runs conference space inside a 700 acre proving ground, and Cranfield is twenty minutes south. Both have gate procedures and inductions. Send them over and we’ll plan arrival around them.
Town centre and club venues
The Corn Exchange and St Paul’s Square for awards nights, hospitality at Bedford Blues for sponsor days. Smaller rooms simply take a smaller set-up.
Country houses, marquees and parkland
Woburn, Ampthill and the villages north of the river for weddings and milestone birthdays, plus summer marquees on the Embankment. Seats and pedals adjust for drivers from 125cm tall, so guests aged 8 to 88 all get a lap.
