The Tyne is an energy and engineering river again. The Port of Tyne runs operations and maintenance for the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm, with Siemens Energy, Baker Hughes and TechnipFMC in the cluster around it. Sage is headquartered in the city, the digital firms around Newcastle Helix have grown up alongside it, and the automotive supply chain runs down towards Sunderland, with both universities feeding the lot.
Out of that mix comes a calendar of supplier days, graduate recruitment events, awards dinners, exhibition stands and Christmas parties, all of them looking for something guests will queue for. A line-up of full-size simulators, everyone racing the same circuit on one live leaderboard, holds that crowd for as long as you’ll let it.
Newcastle’s a proper run from our Silverstone base, the A1(M) past Leeds, Scotch Corner and Durham with a loaded vehicle, so we plan the day backwards from your doors opening, and the earlier we see your access window the smoother it gets. A bigger line-up spreads the journey too, which is why most of our North East work is four simulators and up. You can see everywhere we cover on our simulator hire locations page.
