No. Nottingham’s about 70 miles from our base at the Silverstone Innovation Centre, NN12 8GX, inside the 100 miles of delivery included in every price, so there’s no travel line on your quote. The run is the A43 to the M1 at Northampton, then north to junction 24, 25 or 26 depending on which side of the city your venue sits, around an hour and 20 minutes. If your event needs a build starting earlier than we could reach by driving up on the day, we may quote an overnight, with hotels charged at cost. You’d see that on the quote before you booked.
It comes down to throughput rather than floor space. Fastest-lap sessions are short, so drivers rotate quickly, but a single sim soon forms a queue in a big Nottingham room. One or two hold a steady trickle of drivers at a reception or an exhibition stand, six comfortably handle a couple of hundred guests across an evening, and eight to sixteen is where arena and conference hall guest lists sit. A Batak board alongside absorbs the people waiting. Tell us your guest count and running hours and we’ll put a recommended number of sims in the quote.
Yes, and these are the venues where a bit of access planning pays off. Our delivery vehicle’s 6.9m long, so a loading bay or a booked dock slot makes the morning much smoother, and lift access matters for suites above ground level. Tell us about stairs in advance; they change the team size and the schedule. Setup takes around two hours, and each sim needs roughly 1.61m by 0.6m of floor, with one 13A socket running two sims. If the event finishes after 10pm there’s a £300 late finish charge, and extended hours beyond a standard day are 10% per hour.
