Oxford is about 31 miles from our Silverstone base, roughly 45 minutes by road and inside our included delivery.
Local knowledge
Oxford’s a research city: the University and Brookes, the teaching hospitals, and a spin-out sector that spread down the A34 to Milton Park and Harwell years ago. It’s a racing county too. Williams sits at Grove, Alpine at Enstone, and Bicester Motion has filled a former airfield with historic motorsport firms. A full-size F1-style simulator isn’t an exotic import here. A fair share of your guests will have opinions about the setup, and some of them will be right.
That mix decides the diary: summer and Christmas parties for research and technology firms, client days on the science parks where the leaderboard runs all afternoon in an atrium, college celebrations, awards dinners, and weddings at the estates around the city. Agencies book us for launches too, usually with the sims wrapped in a client livery.
We’re 31 miles up the A43 and down the A34, close enough to be building at 7am for a morning start or to arrive mid afternoon for an evening party, with no overnight and no hotel cost. If your event sits somewhere else, our simulator hire locations page lists the rest.
College quads and listed halls weren’t designed around a 6.9m vehicle, so what we need is somewhere legal to unload and the route to the room. The Examination Schools, Oxford Town Hall and the business school on Park End Street all take events this size.
The Oxford Science Park at Littlemore, Begbroke to the north, and Milton Park and Harwell Campus down the A34. Atriums and breakout spaces suit a leaderboard that runs all afternoon.
Function rooms along the ring road and the A34, plus hospitality at the Kassam Stadium. These tend to come with a car park, a level door and a lift, which keeps load-in simple.
Blenheim Palace at Woodstock, Heythrop Park on the edge of the Cotswolds and Milton Hill House down the A34 all take a full line-up of sims. Marquees work too, on a dry, level surface with cover overhead.

Local questions
It shapes the plan rather than the price. The zone covers a small group of city centre streets and charges petrol and diesel vehicles a daily rate between 7am and 7pm, which affects where a 6.9m delivery vehicle can sensibly stop. Send us the address and we’ll plan the load-in around it. It doesn’t add anything to your quote.
Usually, with a bit of planning. The kit travels in flight cases and each simulator needs roughly 1.61m by 0.6m of floor, stands 1.42m tall and draws under 1kW, with one 13A socket running up to two sims. What we need from you is somewhere legal to unload and a fair description of the route to the room. Flag stairs early, because carrying sims up a flight changes the team size and the timings, and that belongs in the quote.
A dry, level surface, cover overhead and a 13A socket shared between up to two simulators. Marquees at the estates around Oxford work well and we set up in them regularly. Setup takes around two hours, so we can build before guests arrive and be out of the way for the speeches. Seats and pedals adjust for drivers from 125cm tall, ages 8 to 88, so it’s not just the confident ones who get a lap.
